Soft Power Education is working with communities in Uganda to improve quality of life through education. We focus on key, directly related areas:
"We have to date worked at 40 Primary Schools bringing the Primary Schools up to Government standard by renovating existing classrooms, demolishing condemned buildings, building new classrooms, pit latrines and water catchment tanks - providing clean, safe and inspiring environments for learning."
"Working with rural primary schools, we have created a complementary learning environment for pupils based at the Amagezi Education Centre. Pupils from 27 partner schools visit the Centre throughout the academic year and enjoy practical, interactive and hands-on learning sessions using equipment they do not have access to in school."
"We are nw extending the use of the Amagezi Education Centre to enable opportunities for adult learning. We aim to allow more people from the community to benefit from the resources available, as well as to learn relevant skills to aid income generation from sales of products to visiting tourists.ICT, Sustainable Agriculture, Conservation"
"In partnership with the Ugandan Wildlife Authority and other Governmental agencies, SPE is now bringing conservation to the classroom in geographical areas of specific environmental threat. We are refurbishing schools in these areas, establishing conservation education centres and promoting conservation to the communities in the area."
"Soft Power runs two pre schools, each with 120 orphans and children from desperately poor families. The pre schools offer a chance for the children to learn key life skills before heading off to primary school. Each pre school is run by four dedicated staff members who have the passion to teach these children."
"Working to increase awareness of Special Needs within communities and schools - providing on-going training and support for families, teachers and communities."
