There are many ways you could help us achieve our goals at the Amagezi Education Centre: please contact us for details of how to help!
Sponsor a Project
Each of our 11 projects is designed to work as a stand-alone project but together they contribute to our overall aim of enabling communities to reduce levels of poverty. By choosing to sponsor a project you could be directly responsible for enabling individuals in rural Uganda to access this unique and innovative service. We can provide you with a full breakdown of project costs and you can be as involved in the project as you would wish – from receiving bi-annual progress reports from our office in Uganda to coming to visit your project and seeing the difference it is making for yourself!
Cover a Cost
If you don’t have the finances to sponsor an entire project…you could pick a ‘cost’ and cover that for us! For example, you could pay the yearly cost of our Insurance (£2,076 in year 1), the running costs for the ICT project (£367 in Year 1) or maybe pay our telephone and internet costs (£3,666 in year 1). These costs must be met for our project to continue… so maybe you could do a sponsored bungee jump / marathon / silence and set yourself one of our costs as a target to raise!
Volunteer with Us
Many of the projects require volunteers to help us collect data or conduct research in villages to measure the impact of our work, some of the projects (e.g. ICT) need volunteers to help us deliver outreach services to our schools and others (e.g. School Gardens) could always do with an extra pair of hands for digging! If you are interested, Soft Power Education will help you arrange affordable accommodation in a local community and you could experience the beauty of living beside the Nile and the astounding friendliness of the local people whilst helping us achieve our aims.
Help in the UK
