Monthly standing orders help us most by allowing us to budget. If you live in the UK, you can set one up by printing off the standing order form at the bottom of the page and posting it to us at our Suffolk address - details below.

Just Giving
We are on www.justgiving.com which makes fundraising very very easy as everyone can donate from the comfort of their own homes without having to do too much. You can also use this site to make a one off donation but please do bear in mind that they will charge us for the privilege! Take a look at the Justgiving.com section for more details.

Yes you read it right! We can now accept donations from our Facebook FAN page. We are piloting a Facebook application for non-profits called iCoins which allows money transfers in Facebook.

If you are collecting donations from several people, you could collect the money personally in your local currency and then send the final total donation to Soft Power via paypal, bank transfer, or one foreign currency cheque to our Bury St Edmunds address. You can also use the www.justgiving.com website to set up a fundraising page to collect online donations from your supporters and sponsors.
Foreign currency cheques: the bank charges Soft Power a minimum of £5.00 per nonsterling cheque paid in. We find that when people donate they expect the majority of their money, if not all of it, to go straight to the charity; most do not appreciate more than 5-10% of their kind donations goes on
admin/bank fees! Therefore if non-UK donors wish to donate by cheque, the best way for us to avoid unnecessary fees and receive the full amount of their generosity is to ask them to make their cheques payable to yourself as the fundraiser, and for you to then send us just one foreign currency cheque
for the final total amount - then we will only be charged once!
